The word ‘concierge’ had its origin in medieval Europe, and referred to the person entrusted with the keys of the castle. It was an important position. Not only did the concierge open doors, but also, he knew where everything was kept. The concierge could find candles for the banquet, leather for harnesses, soap for washing and preserves from the pantry.
Further, the concierge could get things done and make other things happen. His responsibility was to oversee the smooth running of the household. Whether taking deliveries of food and supplies, or arranging for repair of the castle door, or directing the crew to clean the windows, the concierge was the go-to person.
Possibly (even probably) you’ve been fortunate to stay at least a night or two in a 4 or 5-star hotel. If so, you know the value of a concierge. But you can avail yourself of personal services even in your own castle, located in Ulster or Delaware County in New York State.

- Spring Cleaning. Sparkling clean windows are good for the soul, but polishing them yourself might make you lose your religion. Sage assist can put you in contact with local, dependable people who’d love to clean your house!
- Stephanie will balance your checkbook, draw up a budget or keep track of your receipts. She’ll organize them for tax purposes so you can avoid that particular hassle.
- Event Planner. From a One Year Old birthday party, to a wedding, to a corporate retreat, Stephanie can produce what you want. For example, she has planned and hosted a successful products and services festival, with 20 participating vendors.
- Stephanie is happy to spend time with people who need a ride to appointments, or share a friendly cup of tea, attend a concert, or just to talk. If you or a family member need someone to check in on a regular basis, this service is priceless.
- Contractor liaison. Need repairs done on your property but have to be somewhere else? We know all about the utilities people who give a ‘window’ of between 12 and 4 on Tuesday or Wednesday.
